With a typical Mediterranean climate characterized by warm, dry summers and mild winters, this Alicante beach has temperatures that usually exceed 30°C in summer. This is the most popular season if you plan to visit the beach, as it offers ideal conditions for sunbathing and enjoying the sea.
However during the year it is also possible to enjoy your vacations in Postiguet beach:
- Autumn from September to November. Temperatures between 20°C and 25°C and less crowds.
- Winter daytime temperatures rarely fall below 15°C.
- Spring from March-May is an excellent time, the weather is mild and rising and the crowds are smaller than in summer.
- Summer from July to August temperatures exceed 30°C. This is the high season.
How to get to Postiguet Beach from the center of Alicante and where to park
The Postiguet Beach is located in an unbeatable location: right in the center of Alicante, at the foot of the Santa Barbara Castle and next to the emblematic Paseo de la Explanada. Thanks to this central location, getting to this urban jewel is easy both on foot and by public transport or private vehicle.
🚶♀️ On foot from the center:
If you are staying in the center of Alicante, you can walk there in just 5 to 10 minutes. From the Rambla Méndez Núñez, just cross the underpass or go through the Explanada de España to get directly to the beach.
By public transport:
The streetcar (TRAM Metropolitano de Alicante) is a fast and panoramic option. Lines L1, L3 and L4 stop at the "Mercado" station , located a few meters from the Postiguet. You can also use bus lines 21, 22, 23 and 24, which run along the coast and have stops nearby.
By car:
If you come by car, the beach has several free parking spots in the nearby streets. There are also paid parking lots such as the one in the Plaza del Puerto or the Hotel Meliá Alicante, ideal if you want to be very close to the promenade. Of course, in high season it is advisable to arrive early to find a parking space.
